Sussex campsite Blackberry Wood chooses
eco-friendly Propelair toilet system

Blackberry Wood Camping, Glamping and Treehouses, is a small, family-run campsite in the South Downs National Park in Sussex. And we are excited to announce that Blackberry Wood now uses Propelair toilets!

The rural site offers quirky, quality glamping accommodation ranging from cosy private clearings in the woodland through to elaborate hand crafted treehouses. It specifically caters to couples and families with children. Have a look at the pictures below.

This year, Kevin Wilson, Manager of Blackberry Wood, is installing Propelair toilets into a trailer he is building, in preparation for the anticipated increase in visitors over the summer and autumn months.

Blackberry Wood chose Propelair for its eco-friendly credentials, and also because their site does not have any mains supply. As such, Kevin and his team want to use solar panels. As their solar power requires 48v, Propelair’s 24v power is more than suitable.

He says:

“Blackberry Wood have chosen to use Propelair as we feel the company’s ethos is in line with our own, reducing the carbon footprint & water usage at our environmentally friendly site which in turn decreases the number of times we require our waste tank to be emptied, saving us money & in turn reducing the lorries on our roads.”
