Propelair is one of the most water efficient, economical, and hygienic toilet systems available
In a significant step towards a more sustainable
future, the groundbreaking Propelair OneThreeFive
toilet utilizes only 1.35 litres of water for a 100% clean flush and is, what we believe, one of the world’s most water efficient toilets, saving up to 85% of water compared to the average conventional toilet. This translates into water bill reductions of up to 60% meaning that a return on investment can be in as little as one year, bringing clear financial benefits to our growing customer base operating in the healthcare, manufacturing, retail, education, transport, commercial, and industrial markets.
Propelair is a patented, high-performance toilet that easily fits onto existing drainage systems.
Its concealed cistern contains an isolated reservoir of water, an air pump and an electronic control unit. When the closed lid activates the flush, a small amount of water washes the pan, followed by a high velocity jet of air, flushing away the waste before the water trap refills again.

How do we compare
The lack of success in alternative sanitary systems together with inferior competitor claims truly sets the Propelair toilet apart from other market options. In many cases, traditional and innovative alternatives require double flushing to clear content, resulting in significantly higher water usage than their designed cistern capacity. Leakages from retrofitted alternatives also compromises the objective of saving water.
Competitors cannot match Propelair’s highly disruptive, patented technology in any of the key performance areas.
We outperform all alternative and low-flush technologies.
- Instead of flushing with water-flow, waste is chopped up and turned into slurry, then electrically pumped along a small pipe to meet the main drain. Noisy in operations and prone to maintenance on the “dirty” side of the pan to fix problems. The extra equipment also requires more space.
- Specialist systems that operate on a difference of air pressure in the drainage system, but cannot connect to existing drains as they need their own special drainage system to create a vacuum.
- Similar to vacuum toilets, but operates using high pressure compressed air instead of vacuum.
